French B2 level Test: Assess your fluency and argumentation skills

The B2 level requires an understanding of complex topics and the ability to argue in detail. This advanced-level test checks whether you have the spontaneity needed to interact with native speakers without causing stress for either party.

This test is mapped to the B2 descriptors of the CEFR. It is a self-guided check by level, not a predictive placement: you answer 10 questions drawn at random and get a feel for how comfortably you handle B2.

The Requirements for Level B2

To pass this level, you must demonstrate advanced proficiency in the following areas:

  1. Grammatical Nuances: Tense agreement, passive voice, double pronominalization, and complex logical connectors.
  2. Precise Vocabulary: The ability to express oneself accurately on abstract, professional, or technical topics.

This is the level generally required for admission to a French university or for certain leadership positions.
